1) I am a third year Marketing major with a minor in Entrepreneurship. I started my time here at the University of Florida as a pre-dental student. However, I was unaware of the amount of hard work and effort it takes to achieve such a goal. I was also not fully ready to achieve this goal. Currently, it is my goal to graduate with my Business degree and work for a few years before I decide where I want my life to go next. If I were to start my business, it would play a role in my life everyday. I carry a camelback everywhere I go to constantly keep myself hydrated so I know I would absolutely use my product.
2) I am offering to customers an innovative to drink water or any cold beverage. This product will be made with a thin layer of cork around the bottle so that condensation will be prevented. I know many people, myself included, hate when their water bottle or camelback condensates as soon as they poor a cold drink or bottle of water. My bottle will prevent this from happening.
3) I am offering my product to anyone who brings a bottle to keep themselves hydrated no matter where they are.
4) I believe customers will pay for this product because it will be around the same price as an camelback but it will be different from what is already out there. There is no water bottle or camelback that is made of cork. This product will prevent condensation and can be customized any way a consumer wants it.
5) What sets this product apart is that there is nothing like it, and I think it is something that could be extremely successful.
I believe that the idea of my product definitely fits together. I would need someone to draw the product and come up with different designs. The product would need to be tested so I can determine if it would work and be useful. If I find that the product testing is successful, then it absolutely something I would advertise and hope to sell to customers.

ReplyDeleteI really like your idea of using cork as the material for a water bottle! Usually people just use it for the stopper of wine. I think your idea is good! Perhaps you can mention that cork is light in weight and the price you set for the bottle is affordable. Anyway Great Work! Keep it up!

Michelle,
ReplyDeleteI personally always carry around a water bottle with me and I can definitely relate. During the winter, if I leave my water bottle lying around in my room, nothing happens. But once the temperatures outside reach 70 degrees, my desk becomes an instant puddle - drenching all my papers along with it. I would definitely pay for a water bottle like that, as I hate coozies.

Hey Michelle,
ReplyDeleteI really like your idea of a water bottle that doesn't sweat. I hate when my water bottle on my desk sweats and gets on my papers (then they wrinkle and are never quite the same). Although there are already water bottles out there that claim that they do not create condensation on the outside, I agree that your bottle being made out of cork separates you from the competition.
Here is my idea if you want to take a look:

ReplyDeleteHello Michelle!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading about yourself on your idea napkin! I definitely agree that it would be nice to have an ice cold bottle in my bag without it destroying my papers! I really like how you went out of your way to create a product that can be beneficial for us. Will you be offering this to students?
