Chapter one of our textbook outlines what an entrepreneur is
and what it takes to be one, as well as all of the factors that come into
play. What stood out the most to me was
reading about the different myths of entrepreneurship. Most of the myths I read I had thought to be
true and it was interesting to learn about a completely different side. Reading
about the macro view and the micro view and the differences between them was
another topic that stood out to me.
Every topic we learn about has such an abundance of information and we
do not realize that until we have the opportunity to learn about it. There
really was no part of the reading that I found to be confusing. I felt that the whole chapter was pretty
straightforward and covered the necessary topics to give us a first look into
entrepreneurship. Two questions I would
ask the author would be what his experiences with entrepreneurship have been
and what are his favorite parts about being an entrepreneur. I think these questions would allow me to
learn more about the author as well as to learn more about the knowledge he has
gained throughout his life. I do not believe anything the author said was
wrong. Until this class, I have never
really thought about entrepreneurship or what it means to me so from just
reading the first chapter, I would have to say that I agree with the things
that were written.
